A simple Lightroom plugin that can export your files to sta.sh.

Now includes publishing support, so you can continually update your images with Lightroom.

Does your plugin no longer function? It doesn't accept my OAuth token to log in.

Is there something wrong in my configuration or it's normal that trying to upload more than 68% Quality Jpeg (4600x3500 px), I get an error "Lightroom network error while uploading to sta.sh: unknown". I'm trying the free version of DeviantArt, is there some file dimension limitation perhaps?

Thanks in advance

I initially had a problem with the plugin not working after I updated to Adobe CC (Lightroom 5) but I will go back and check with the latest release of the plugin. What I wanted to ask though - when I exported before, the meta wasn't transferred to stash. I had to enter title, descriptions and tags manually. Is this a known issue?

No, it's not I'm afraid. I haven't tested it on LR 5 though because I don't have a license for it.

I'll see if I have time to try downloading the trial and poking at it sometime this weekend.

I had a problem logging in as well.

I did the following and now it works. I don't know which part of this made it work so i'm posting it all:
1) I reloaded the plugin from the plugin manager
2) I went back to the publish setup and noticed I had no name for the service, so gave it a name
3) Authorized again.  Notice it gave me a different code this time.  Entered the new code.
4) Logged in and everything worked.

I had to do something similar, I think you have to make sure you give the plugin config a name before you click log in.

The key thing there was probably the different code - I had some trouble with dA's changes to the auth system.

Thanks for posting about a success! =)

Same error for me:
08/31/2014 12:02:20 ERROR    checkResponse: Server error 400 for url: www.deviantart.com/oauth2/toke…
08/31/2014 12:02:20 ERROR    getJSON: www.deviantart.com/oauth2/toke… was supposed to return JSON, but didn't. We got a server error instead: 400

Hi, what version of the plugin are you running?
It should be 20140829.211 - the issues in the comments above (which look like your issue) were fixed in that version.

Unfortunately not, I'm in the middle of moving to a new city, and I've been unable to replicate the specific issue - Oddly enough, I can still upload images without an issue. I have a suspicion of what is causing the problem though.
I'm hoping to dig in a little more on Monday/Tuesday. In the meantime, could you enable debug logging in the plugin settings, and message me the contents of the debug log, specifically any lines that have ERROR in them?

I've sent you my log in a note since I didn't want to have to edit any personal info out of it and possibly change what you're seeing.

For me now it just says "Not Logged In"
When I click login, it has my auth code.  I click ok.
It says "Logging in" then returns to not logged in.

The plugin has been working for me in LR 5.6... until 2 days ago. I get a message:

Can't update this collection. Error uploading to Sta.sh, even after retrying. Last error was:
invalid_request:
Request field validation failed.

Screenshot: screencast.com/t/meRcDI32j

I've reset the publisher and reconnected but doesn't resolve the problem.
I love and rely on this app. Please look into the issue.
Thanks

That error message is really odd, and dA isn't specific about what could cause it.
Thanks.

I was running this, but hadn't tried to upload for a while.  I had to reformat and reinstall, now with LR 5.6 the plugin won't log in.  I've unauthorized and reauthorized but it still won't connect.  Any ideas?

Thank you for the great work. However, I am getting this error in Lightroom 5.3: "?:0: attempt to concatenate field 'stashid' (a nil value)"
Is this a known bug?

I'm afraid it's not... I haven't tested in 5.3 though, because I'm still on 4.

Does it give you the error when you start Lightroom, or when you do anything specific?

I'm using Lightroom 5.3

Okay, two days ago Stash added some nested pictures thing and now this plugin puts each image beloww the previous one when exporting.  So when I upload 15 pictures, I have a set of nested folders 15 folders deep with one picture per nested level . . .

Again, it would be nice if DA would let you know before they broke things :-)

If you happen to be able to fix that, it would be great, thanks again :-)

Urgh, and here I was hoping stuff wouldn't break during my cross-country move. dA was... kind of ignored. =P

I'm having trouble logging in with the plugin. It tells me that my credentials have expired, I click on login, get a new authorization key, and then nothing happens. It just keeps saying that I'm not logged in. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmm... The credentials have expired message is thanks to dA's ninja updating of the API, but it should work fine.

You're clicking the 'Authorize at Sta.sh' button, then copy and pasting the code into the box, then clicking 'OK', right?

(Note that even if there's already a code listed in the box, you MUST remove it and paste a new generated code in the box.)

Yep, that's what I did. I copy and paste the code into the box, click OK, it thinks for a second, and then says "Not logged in." I'm using Lightroom 5 on Windows 7 64bit, by the way.

Ok... I've got error logs, and I'm working on the issue now. It seems to be something up with dA API, so I'm going to poke around for a bit, if I don't see anything I'll push an update that pops up an error message instead of silently failing to 'Not logged in'.

Bear with me for a bit. =)

Right... I've been poking at it, and as far as I can tell, something's breaking on dA's side, and I'm not sure what I can do to avoid it, since, weirdly enough, the exact same operations are working fine when I try them.

Would you happen to be using a proxy to access the internet?

Fixed it! All I had to do was go to settings on deviantart.com (not Lightroom or the plugin, but on the website itself) and click on "Apps & Uploads." Under "your authorized apps," I revoked access to Lightroom Export. Then I re-authorized using the plugin, and everything works just fine. Not sure why dA doesn't throw and error in the first place, but there you have it.

That's is really weird, and definitely on dA's side... sounds like an incomplete authorization or something was done, and definitely explains why the only error I was seeing was the generic "Server error".

Thanks for letting me know what fixed it, I'll be sure to add that to my list of troubleshooting tips! =)

That's odd. I haven't found anything in my testing yet...

Could you enable debug logging in the plugin settings (Right click on Sta.sh in Publish Services, click the button labelled Plug-in Manager on the bottom left, and check the box labelled 'Enable debug logging') and try logging in again? Once you've done that, could you go back to the setting window and click 'Show log', and send me the file? (Just copy and paste the text into a note and send it to me.)

Thanks!
